This picture was taken on a 7 day cruise, that Colton proposed to me.
From left to right it is my dad (Douglas), my mom (Sheila), my fiance (Colton), ME, my sister (Olivia), and my brother-in-law (Brayden.)
This picture was taken at my sister's wedding reception.
From left to right again, my dad, then my little brother (Braden.) He doesn't love pictures so he's not in the left picture. Next is Brayden my brother-in-law... Yep it's a party with 2 Bra(y)dens. My sister, Olivia, ME and my mom.
When I graduated high school I knew I wanted to be on Broadway. I got accepted to AMDA, American Musical and Dramatic Academy, for fall of 2020. I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease right out of high school. My doctor told me that Crohn's shouldn't stop me and I should still pursue my dreams. I could do my self injection (the biologic) and get it shipped to me. I went to AMDA’s New York City campus in October 2020. I had to quarantine for 14 days because I was from Michigan and you couldn’t be out and about without quarantining, if you were from a different state. During quarantine, I wrote my first song, and completed a song for my sister to surprise her husband with at their wedding. I was so excited to start classes when I got out of quarantine. In November 2020 my legs started having problems. My knees were not holding my weight like they did before and they hurt. I went to doctor appointment after doctor appointment. I had to come back home in January 2021 because I couldn’t walk to class and complete the class and get back. I kept telling myself I was going to get better in time to go back to New York the next semester. My family and I decided that I couldn’t continue with the condition of my health. Meanwhile, my sister got married and my parents moved to Florida. After the semester ended my body knew I had been pushing it too far and I slept, a lot. Anytime that I was awake I was trying to get better, watching Max Lucado, spending time with my family, and watching/thinking about soccer. (Because I couldn’t do it anymore.) I did not have the energy to dance but I still had my passion to sing. I grabbed my songwriting notebook and started writing again as much as my body felt up for. I wrote with people from all over the world and kept adding new songs to my completed songs list. I am now performing live and releasing my music as my passion. I switched biologics for Crohn's disease April 7th, 2022. That changed everything. I started using a walker little by little. I still have to use the wheelchair in big places like Walmart. That is where I am now in my story!!
